I came up with this recipe for Crescent Pizza Pockets when I had planned mini pan pizzas for lunch, but when I opened the canned dough I had bought it was bad. So I had to improvise, but I managed to feed my family for less than $0.30 cents per serving!
Crescent Pizza Pockets
Makes 8 pizza pockets
2 cans Pillsbury Crescent rolls
Pizza toppings of choice
Garlic powder and Italian seasonings (optional)
Unroll one can of Crescent rolls. You should have 4 sheets of two.
Take two of the triangles and press them together to form a rectangle
Spread about 1 Tbsp of spaghetti sauce in the middle of each crescent rectangle
Place about 1/4 cup of cheese and toppings in the middle
Fold over the crescent rolls to form a pocket.
Press the edges down with a fork to make sure it is sealed.
Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning on top for extra flavor (optional)
Place in oven according to crescent roll package instructions
Warm up extra spaghetti sauce for a great dipping sauce
Enjoy. These are easy and a really frugal meal idea!
