Before we get to the gifts, had to share a funny story with you. Last holiday season, my family had a chance to get together with mose of my extended family. We were sitting at my aunt’s house, and my brother and his wife and kids finally arrived from North Carolina. It’s been years since my brother has seen my whole family, like before we were married (almost seven years).
My son, the Minecraft freak, LOVEs his Uncle Jimmy. Before I even knew what was happening I saw my son make a beeline for my little bro. I didn’t think much about it, and went on oogling over my niece and nephew. Fast forward 35 minutes later, and I see my brother stuck in a corner with my then 12 year old son with a glazed look in his eyes. I like I could hear was my son’s mouth going about a million miles a minute and likes of “Yeah,…… wow……oh really?!” coming from my brother.
See my son shows his affection by sharing his VAST knowledge about anything and EVERYTHING Minecraft. The kid would spend days on YouTube watching Minecraft videos if I would let him. My brother on the other hand knows NOTHING about Minecraft. His kids are infant/toddlers. Seeing the look of panic in his eyes made me chuckle, but you know what I didn’t have it in me to rescue him. Maybe I should’ve warned him not to mention Minecraft. (Nah…..it was too amusing to see it all go down)
