The warmer months are coming, and that means it’s time to start firing up the grill. At least in our house it does. Though Mr. Crunchy is always threatening to start grilling year round “just because [he] can.” Though even with negative 50 degree winters he’s yet to put his money where his mouth is.
This round up of 20 BBQ recipes is a perfect way to kick off the grilling season. It’s obviously not all there is to serve on your grill, but should definitely get you started to some nummy foods. Not sure about you, but I have NO idea what it is about putting food over a flame that seems to elevate the flavors! Talk about tonguegasm.
When I was a kid, we always used to joke that my dad had his own special “chicken recipe.” We used to tell family members from all around that they haven’t lived until they had my dad’s secret chicken. They would always ooh and ahh sharing that they in fact had had my dad’s amazing chicken and how delicious it was.
This answer always made me giggle, because they didn’t seem to know what the “secret” ingredient was to dad’s chicken. His secret ingredient was the fact that it was burnt to a crisp! Carbon particles, yum, yum. In all fairness my dad probably only burned his chicken once, and he’s never lived it down since. Now he is quite the grilling master, and the bonus about living in Florida is that he can grill almost all year round! Now when I go home to visit, I make sure dad has the grill ready because he may flounder with chicken, but that man can make a mean steak!

i love this time of year as well because there are more opportunities to grill and have that extra carbon flavor.
