Camping is like the ultimate way to spend time together as a family. We love going as family, and over the years we’ve learned it’s really important to think up camping crafts for kids. Otherwise you might have a mutiny on your hands when a case of boredom hits.
Our family only goes camping about once a year, but these crafts have been LIFESAVERS. When the girls were younger, we did a lot of camping with the Girl Scouts, and making sure we had some camping crafts for kids probably saved us from a riot or two. It’s amazing to me how kids can get so hostile when boredom hits. It’s almost like they are allergic to it or something.
Well rather than wrestle with the natives, we always had a “craft tote” that we packed filled with crafts for kids to do when they wanted to. Sometimes we schedule the camping crafts into our agenda, other times we just tossed the box at them and asked them not to take any hostages. Since I am here writing this blog post, it’s safe to say that I survived our camping trips with the Girl Scouts and they didn’t time me up at the stake. (You know some young girls can go all “Lord of the Flies” on you when they aren’t happy)
Since these camping crafts have saved my life, I am now passing them onto you. May you use them well, and may the save your life (or your children’s lives) when boredom strikes the next time that you and your family are out camping.

I used to love Girl Scout camp and all of the fun crafts. Today, I still love crafting, but camping, not so much. Thank you for including the Mud Monster from CraftsnCoffee.com. It’s perfect for little campers.
