Back to school is right around the corner, so here at Crunchy Frugalista we have been sharing ideas ranging from Lunch organization to back to school craft ideas that your kids will love. The summer’s always seem to sneak by way too fast, and before you know it school is around the corner. My kids love doing crafts and special projects at the end of the summer to get them in the mood to go back to school.
Today we have a simple and extremely cheap idea for how to make book markers for the kids books. I cannot stand it when my kids fold the corners of pages in a book so we are always looking for bookmarks for them to use. These book marks are made from a regular little paper clip and left over ribbon pieces! Such an easy activity that you could use in a teacher gift too!
How to make Paper Clip Bookmarks
Materials
Paper clips
Ribbon
Instructions
Step 1 – Cut ribbon pieces to the size that you would like for the bookmark
Step 2 – Slip the ribbon into the end of the paper clip
Step 3 – Tie a knot in the ribbon on the paper clip
Step 4 – Slip the paper clip onto the page of the book that you want to save. That’s it! Simple but yet cute bookmark option!
These little bookmarks would also make an inexpensive teacher gift throughout the year but sticking it with a fun notebook or book the teacher would love! This would make a great teacher appreciate gift or even a back to school gift idea!
What back to school crafts are you doing with your kids? Do you have a tradition of making certain things to get them ready to go?
