School has started, the weather is cooling off and that means we are quickly approaching October. Halloween will be here before we know it. My boys have three parties during the school year with their class, Halloween, Winter and Valentine’s Day. I usually try to put together a little gift for the teachers that they can take during the party. I always try to think outside the box and send gifts other than ornaments, #1 teacher mugs, and the things I imagine they get a lot of.
I started thinking about Halloween and what I could put together that would be cute but inexpensive and unique. I usually sent gifts that revolve around food, I mean, who doesn’t eat? Here is what I put together!
This is a simple coffee mug full of treats for the teacher. I used Halloween treats that were colorful and would stand out in the mug.
How to make the Halloween Teacher Mug Gift
Materials
Coffee Mug
Treats
Snack bag (you could use a Ziploc baggie)
Ribbon
Pumpkin or tag for the gift
Instructions
Step 1 – Fill your snack bag with the treats
Step 2 – Stick the goodies in the mug, make sure that it is full enough that it is coming out the top so you can see the colors.
Step 3 – Make your pumpkin tag, you can see how we made these for our Pumpkin Garland. I used the same technique.
Step 4 – Tie your bag with the ribbon and add the tag on. Super Easy!
If you want to jazz this up a little, you could use a vinyl letter and add the teacher’s last name initial to the mug. I have a Silhouette and usually make my own vinyl to add to my projects. You can also use Permanent markers and have your kids decorate the mug before you send it. These are just a couple ideas on how to customize the gift a little more.
What crafts are projects are you working on for Fall and Halloween?
