This girl will have to admit that one of my favorite emails to open begins with the line “Disney, ABC & Disney XD Invite You to Los Angeles.” The first time, I ever got that message was last year when I went to the Iron Man 3 premiere in April, and the happy line landed in my inbox again this year to let me know I will be going back to city of angels for the Million Dollar Arm Red Carpet premiere!
Having the honor of going to red carpet events with Disney has been one of my most memorable experiences in my career, and I can’t wait to get back there. We don’t know all the details yet, but what I do know is that we are attending a baseball themed red carpet premiere for Million Dollar Arm, which is a movie about a scout that goes to India to recruit cricket players to pitch for Major League Baseball. It’s actually based on a true story, which makes it even more interesting. The trailer makes me want to see it tomorrow.
We are also going to get to see a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! I may or may not have uttered a girl squeal at this moment. As you guys know, I am the self professed queen of snark, and Jimmy Kimmel is kinda one of my idols. He’s funny as heck and very kind to boot. My friend Jodi’s daughter, helped him make an awesome rainbow loom suit by sending some of her creations to him and he sent her back an autographed photo! How cool is that. Plus, I recently saw this awesome American Sign Language rap battle on his show. My daughter Keiran, and I just started American sign language classes this week because she is hearing impaired. It was a cool way to tie that in with my upcoming trip to Jimmy Kimmel!
If you guys also don’t know that I am a chic geek by now, shame on you, you must read more of the blog. Why am I sharing this? Because we will be arriving in LA on May the 4th. You know, STAR WARS DAY. Insert geek happy dance here. When asking for packing help, I totally asked Marshall (the famous Disney PR rep) if he thought my light saber is ok in my carryon or should be checked. (YES, I totally went there) We will be taking part in a great Disney XD Star Wars Rebel Event, which should be a blast.
Last ,but certainly not least, we are going to be checking out the summer soap series Mistresses featuring Alyssa Milano. I’ve never seen the show before this event invite, but now that I’ve watched a few episodes it is going to easily be something to get me through the summer!
We embark on this amazing trip on May 4th- 7th. Make sure to follow along on my travels by following me on my social media channels below, PLUS you can follow all the bloggers by following the hashtags #ABCTVEVENT #Milliondollararmevent and #starwarsrebelsevent on Twitter!
