In my house, my furry kids are as much a part of the family as my human kids. Our dogs are seriously our best friends, they are super with the kids and they give the best slobbery kisses ever. Just as I love to spoil my own kids, I love to spoil my dogs. Problem is, I do not have a ton of money to spend on them. I decided to get creative and find ways to pamper your pooch on a budget and here is what I came up with:
Baths: You know how much dogs love the water, right? A day at the groomer would be fun but instead of spending your dough on that, why not do it yourself? Buy a shampoo and conditioner that will make your pup smell great that will also give your dog’s coat a great shine and leave it feeling nice and soft. Put a few bows in their hair to give them a cute look and they are ready to be shown off!
Walks: You need to walk your dog at least twice a day, so why not make it fun? Dogs enjoy hanging out with other dogs, so if you have a dog park close by, take your pooch over there for some fun! Let your pup hang out with his puppy friends and burn off some of their doggy energy! Treats: I have a sweet tooth and enjoy indulging every so often. My dogs like to have a treat once in a while as well. This includes more than just their food, but other pet supplies toys, and snacks. If I am going to get my pooches what they need and crave AND come under budget, I always head out to Dollar General. When it comes to convenience and affordability, they go hand in hand at Dollar General. Unlike the larger chain stores, I get to park close to the door and I don’t have those big aisles to navigate. I can buy my favorite (or should I say my dogs favorite) Purina products from my local Dollar General.
They have a large variety of Purina products to choose from including Cat Chow, Kitten Chow, Kit & Kaboodle, Friskies, Deli Cat, Fancy Feast, Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Moist & Meaty, Beneful, Alpo, Mighty Dog, Beggin Strips, Busy Bone, Friskies Party Mix, Waggin Train, Whisker Lickins, and Tidy Cats. At Dollar General, I can spoil my dogs without spending a fortune and checking out is always a breeze! That’s why Dollar General Alpo Products rock!
Currently, Dollar General has a super fun Instagram contest going on that you will love! The #DGPetDash contest on Instagram challenges Dollar General customers to fill 1 Dollar General shopping bag with pet items from Dollar General and upload a picture of your haul to Instagram. The photo with the most likes will receive $100 worth of free pet food and/or treats from Purina (in the form of 5 $20 Purina manufacturer coupons).
