This post is written on behalf of DriveTime, but all opinions and car oogling are my own.
As a mom, I always said I would NEVER own a minivan. Six years later I have been the proud owner of a Kia Sedona minivan. It’s been the best car I could hope for, but this mama is always looking for a little bit more funk when it comes to her cars. Recently, I had the chance to drive the 2016 Kia Sorento and in one word I can sum it up. WOW.
This is the first time that I’ve had the Kia Sorento experience, and this car is NOT another soccer mom car. It’s got all the seating and storage that a mom and family can hope for, but it has amazing features that make you feel like a celebrity on four wheels.
As soon as I slid behind the wheel, this mama knew this test drive was gonna be my favorite yet. The 2016 Kia Sorento featured climate control seats where you can heat and cool your toosh! The leather was comfortable, yet didn’t retain the heat of a hot Minnesota day, and the sun roof gave you the cruising feel of a convertible without all the bad hair day.
The 2016 Kia Sorento is a great crossover vehicle that doesn’t drive like a tank. When I used to own a Ford Explorer, I loved the car, but hated how “big” the car felt when it drove. Hubby’s a truck driver and he can drive anything, but I prefer something that doesn’t feel like I am driving a bus. The Kia Sorento offered a great smooth ride and it was surprisingly easy to handle.
It wasn’t just a comfortable ride, but it had all the bells and whistles that this tech mama loves! The Infinity® Surround Sound Audio System with Clari-Fi™, Ten Speakers, External Amplifier & Subwoofer, HD Radio™ gave you the ultimate music experience, while the the navigation system made sure you arrived at your destination safely.
The whole family really loved this car, and the kids were begging me to ask if we could keep it by the end of our week in the car. It’s definitely at the top of my list for my next vehicle purchase once we decide to pass the Kia Sedona onto one of the kids as their first car!
