Are you true Netflix addict? Then you need to know 8 shows to binge watch on Netflix! There are few things more satisfying than a successful binge-watching experience on Netflix. Sure, you missed a deadline and your dishes are overflowing from you sink but when you find a show that is truly worth of binge-watching, those day-to-day concerns seem to fade into the background. I get super annoyed when I fall in love with a show on Netflix only to discover that there are seasons missing. When I REALLY love a show, I want to watch every single episode in a pretty short amount of time. So, I’ve pulled together a list of 8 shows for you to binge watch on Netflix that are available in their entirety on Netflix. I’ve personally watched every episode of all of the shows I’m recommending so be super impressed.
8 Shows To Binge Watch on Netflix
1. Parenthood (6 Seasons)
Grab a box of tissues before you sit down to watch Parenthood. There are episodes that are so relatable to real-life that you’ll be sobbing plus scenes that will bring back a funny memory and have you laughing so hard that you’ll be crying. This show touches on all of the areas facing families today such as rebellion, autisum, marital issues, and more. You’ll wish you were born into the Braverman family by the end of the show.
2. Gilmore Girls (7 Seasons)
If you’re a book lover, Gilmore Girls is a show that you’ll love. It is FULL of literary references between the mother and daughter combination that is Lorelai and Rory. Their adorable relationship and back-and-forth banter is so amusing, plus Lorelai’s coffee obsession is super relatable.
3. House, M.D. (8 Seasons)
I have to admit, this is one of my favorite shows to binge watch on Netflix! House, M.D. centers around an incredible diagnostic doctor, Dr. Gregory House. If someone has an illness that doesn’t quite fit a normal diagnosis, Dr. House and his team can get to the bottom of it… but usually break a few rules (and sometimes laws) in the process. It makes you re-think the boundaries of physicians as it relates to saving lives.
4. The Office (9 Seasons)
I’m not sure that I’ve ever laughed so hard at a show before. The Office is shot documentary-style and follows around the employees of Dunder Mifflin, a paper company in Pennsylvania. I think that this will go down as being one of the best cast shows in television history. You’ll fall in love with the quirky boss Michael Scott, get all the feels watching the Jim and Pam romance develop, and relate to the relationship of Mindy and Ryan.
5. Dexter (8 Seasons)
Dexter Morgan is the main character in the show Dexter and he lives a pretty ironic lifestyle. He is a forensic blood-spatter analyst by day, and a serial killer by night. He never kills without a good reason. Learn the method to his madness and you’ll actually find yourself feeling sorry for someone who takes lives on the regular.
6. Friday Night Lights (5 Seasons)
Friday Night Lights is a feel-good show that your entire family can fall in love with. It is set in a small town that doesn’t have much going for it other than football. Coach Eric Taylor is the new head football coach and struggles with the pressure placed on him by the towns folk to bring home a state championship.
7. Glee (6 Seasons)
There is more to Glee than musical numbers, although those catchy remixes of your favorite songs will keep you coming back for sure. Will Schuester is an optimistic teacher who is the head of the glee club at McKinley High School and he helps students find themselves and deal with life’s toughest challenges. Oh, and just plan ahead on having a box of tissues and a corner to sob in once you get to the episode titled The Quarterback which is in memory of Cory Monteith. If you are going to binge watch this on Netflix, make sure to keep those tissues nearby, and follow up with a funny series to watch!
8. The Secret Life of the American Teenager (5 Seasons)
I have to admit, this show was my guilty pleasure throughout college. A co-worker of mine watched it first and would talk about it the next day so eventually I started watching just to have something to talk to her about. The acting isn’t the best and the plot is pretty cheesy at times, but it is one of those shows that suck you in.
