This post is written on behalf of AT&T and Jawbone activity tracker bands, but all awesomeness is my own!
Last year, I had a chance to check out my first Jawbone Up, one of my favorite activity tracker bands. It was a fun way to keep track of my physical activity and sleep without feeling like a slave to an app. This year, I am checking out the new Jawbone UP24. It’s the next generation of Jawbone UP products, and should be a great way to help me meet my health goals in 2015!

The first thing that I have loved about >all Jawbone activity tracker bands is that the set up is literally fool proof. There is no complicated set up, and the instructions are always pretty clear. The device might look too simplistic, but they’ve always done right by me. These activity trackers are products that fit into my lifestyle, not another gadget I have to worry about learning how to use or to keep track of.
That’s one thing that I have learned over the years. If activity tracker bands are complicated to use, I won’t use them. Health technology should be something that enhances my life and easily accommodates my day to day routine
. Not something that is complicated and helps me over think things. Jawbone UP 24 is both of these things. It helps me track my activity and my sleep, both things that I am working on because they are so important to living a balanced life.

At first glance, the Jawbone UP 24 doesn’t look much difference from the original Jawbone UP. It still has the sleek design of the earlier models. New to this model are more color options and a cool wave design around the band. The biggest difference is the Bluetooth functionality of the Jawbone UP24. This update is definitely worthy of a happy dance!
With Jawbone UP 24, you don’t have to plug your activity tracker band into your phone to update your progress. It updates automatically 24/7 via the new Bluetooth feature. This is most excellent. The one thing that probably kept me from using the first Jawbone UP long term is that I would always forget to sync my unit. With the new feature, this won’t be a problem. Just having my Bluetooth capable device nearby and my progress gets updated.

The only downside I can see for the UP24 is that it is only capable of being paired to one device at a time. We are a house divided, so this complicates things a little bit. My phone is an Android LG G Flex and I live to use my iPad Mini. Neither one are always with me, so it would be nice to have the ability to pair to two devices at a time. If you aren’t weird like me and only have one device you use, then you are good to go!
