Peach Bacon Salad with Only Four Ingredients
Homemade salad recipes are the best, but there’s j
ust something that makes it a little extra special when you add Applewood Smoked Bacon to them! That’s why I’m so excited to share with you this homemade salad with bacon and pe
aches!
We’ve always been a family that has had a profound love of bacon. We’ve made bacon pancakes for breakfast, and now we’ve made a homemade salad recipe with bacon AND peaches! YUM!
Bacon is a meat with super powers! You can eat it in the morning, you can eat it at night, you can eat it in salads, or you can eat it all by itself. Yes, oh yes, my love of bacon is real. Believe me!
While bacon is magical and awesomesauce, you have to make sure to get the right kind of bacon. (Yes, there can be a ‘wrong’ kind of bacon!)
What’s so special to make bacon the best? Two things according to this bacon fan! It needs to be thick cut, and it needs to be Applewood smoked!
In our salad with bacon and peaches, the smokiness of the Applewood smoked bacon plays so nicely off the sweetness of peaches! It’s seriously one of the easiest homemade salad recipes, and it has some amazing flavor! It takes me less than ten minutes to whip it up, and it’s a homemade salad recipe that our whole family enjoys!
The best part about this bacon peach salad recipe is that it only has four ingredients! Yes, only four ingredients! That’s all you need when you have products that are packed with flavor like Applewood Smoked Bacon!
When I am trying to come up with easy recipes for our family, the first thing I think about is what is in season in our area.
We have this great little farmers market that’s about five miles from our home. Every Saturday, we head to the farmers market to see what local produce is in season!
Getting our produce from our farmers market, not only helps us get to know the growers of our food, it helps us save money too!
We’ve also been trying to get our meat as local as we can as well. It really helps when you buy local because you know what your farmer has been feeding your cows.
When we are pinching our pennies and still dying to have a salad with bacon and peaches we watch for sales on bacon. Then we grab our fruit from local food co-ops or CSA (or community supported agriculture)
