Two words that you need to remember now: Dr. Cocoa Cough and Cold! Is it ingrained in your brain? Good. That’s the word you are going to need to remember this cough and cold season. Why? Because when you have a kid that tends to get sick a lot cold and flu season is a hassle. There’s extra hand washing and telling them to sneeze and cough into their elbows, that doesn’t even count feeling like you have to chase them to get your kids to take medicine. Dr. Cocoa is a new tool we have in our cold butt kicking tool box, and I might not get beat up by my 12 year old because Dr. Cocoa is a cold medicine that actually tastes good (it has 10% cocoa, need I say more).
I’ve shared with you Bayla’s struggle with extreme eczema and our trip to National Jewish hospital this year. That poor kid has had to struggle through some pretty AWFUL tasting medicines over the years. She’s already sick and tired of being on so many medicines that making her take a cold medicine that tastes horrible really is a great way to set her into a bad mood.
If we aren’t spared during the cold and flu season, I have to say that I am really looking forward to trying Dr. Cocoa with Bayla. She is just as much of a chocolate lover as I am, and in the past having her medicines flavored has definitely made the battle to get her to take her medications so much easier. The great thing about this cough medicine is that it is over the counter, and I don’t have to ask our pharmacist to flavor it (there’s 10% cocoa already in it). Plus, being over the counter, it’s easy to have it on hand so as soon as she shows signs of getting sick we can nip it in the bud before she gets REALLY sick.
Dr. Cocoa cough medicine for kids is aimed to help take the fight out of giving your kids their medicine. It’s a great choice for kids 4-13, and you might just save a little sanity this cold and flu season. Think of all the things you could do with your time. Instead of fighting kids to take their medicine, you could do things like take a bubble bath or read a book. The possibilities are endless.
In all seriousness, I am just looking forward to not having Bayla be so upset that she has to take yet another yucky tasting medicine. Now if I can only get all of her other medications to be chocolate flavored!
