Fall is one of my absolute FAVORITE times to decorate my home. That’s why I love finding easy fall home decor. Sometimes I pull simple pieces out of the attic that I have gotten on clearance. Other times I do some simple fall crafts to bring my home to life. Whatever I do, I make sure that it’s easy and looks fabulous.
Now that fall is officially here, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite fall decorations. My project this year was to create a great entryway space that is easy to transition between the seasons and looks fabulous as you walk in the door. I set my budget at $200 and away I went.
Simple Fall Home Decor IdeasOur entry way into our home walks right into the living room. Mr. Crunchy is infamous for dropping all of his work stuff (keys, badges, pens) all over the place. So our entry way had to be both beautiful AND functional. We’ve been working REALLY hard on finding a “home” for all of our stuff so the clutter is gone.
When designing this space. I had three goals that I had in mind. It had to be functional, full of fall colors, and easy to incorporate unique pieces into. To begin our design we headed off to one of my favorite stores, IKEA. I knew I wanted some time of table to put in the entry way that wouldn’t clutter the entryway. The area between our door and the living room is not very large, and I didn’t want it to make the entry cumbersome. The other thing that I knew was that I wanted it to fit our shabby chic theme in our home.
When we went to IKEA, I kept my options open I looked at all sorts of tables and we eventually found this great birch kitchen cart! It was completely unfinished, minus some wax finish. It had these great wheels on one side that allows me to move it and rearrange easily. I just feel in love with it.
