This is a sponsored post on behalf of Fresh Thyme, but all opinions are my own.
One of the things that I have been working more and more on lately is eating more organic foods. Though, it can be tough, I’ve definitely noticed that it makes me feel better when I eat more organic produce. One of the challenges to eating more organic foods isn’t just price, it can be really hard to find places to buy good organic produces and meats.
Minneapolis is such a great area to live in for just this, and recently a new chain of fresh food stores opened here called Fresh Thyme. Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market has stores all over the midwest, and they just recently opened a new market here in the Bloomington area, not too far from Mall of America.
Hubby and I were down around that side of town, and we had a chance to check out the new store. All I can say is how beautiful it is. Ok, so I’m a dork and walls and walls of fresh produce and tons of great products to choose from make me kinda happy. Probably more happy than it should, but since eating better I’ve noticed that I feel better. That’s why it’s great to have more and more stores like Fresh Thyme opening in my area so I can try more new products!
Fresh Thyme is really different from a lot of other stores I’ve been in. They have a passion for food, and not just food but quality food. Each store promises all this:
- Natural meat, raised without hormones
- Seafood flown in daily
- Hearty breads and delicious treats from local artisan bakeries and hot out of our ovens
- Healthy meals made in our kitchens which are ready to eat on the run
- Barrels full of natural and organic bulk foods
- Locally roasted organic coffee beans
- Aisles of nutritious and delicious groceries
- Earth-friendly cleaning supplies
- Specialty foods
- Gluten-free and dairy-free options
- Plus a whole department filled with vitamins, supplements and pure body care products.
Our family has been gluten free for about a year, and we’ve had to avoid other allergens due to Bayla’s food allergies, so I was really excited to see they had a lot of dairy free options as well.
Since moving to Minneapolis, my husband and I have fallen in love with the farmer’s markets here. Even though our growing season is so short, we love the sense of community that comes from talking to the people that grow your food. Fresh Thyme really wanted to capture this community feeling in their stores, and does that by giving back in their Giving Tree community. You can check out each month what part of your purchases is going to which community organizations. It’s really heart warming.
If you live in the area, make sure to check out the new Bloomington Fresh Thyme location.
