30 Second Homemade Honey Mustard Sauce Recipe!
Honey mustard sauce is one of those things that I can NEVER have enough of.
Honey mustard sauce, honey mustard dressing, just dip me in and slather me up, baby.
Not sure if it’s the tanginess or the slightly sweet side of this homemade dip recipe that just makes me tingle inside.
My family were trying to get ready for a tailgating party, and I was really craving Chic-fila honey mustard sauce. OF COURSE, it was a Sunday so there was no Chic-fila to be had. SAD PANDA.
That’s why I looked in my cupboard to try and figure out how to make honey mustard dressing with what I already had in my house.
You know they say necessity is the creation of genius, or something like that. AND BAM BABY. This was certainly what helped me come up with this baller sauce.

How do you make honey mustard sauce? Commonly Asked Questions
Do I have to use dijon mustard? Nope, you can use regular mustard in this recipe as well but make sure to up the honey a little bit. Regular mustard has a little bit more of a bite to it than Dijon mustard does.
I HATE MAYONNAISE! Do I have to use mayonnaise? Here is a little super secret of mine. I had Mayonnaise too. If you hand me anything that has the taste of mayo on it, you are either gonna wear it or get a shoe hurled at you.
That is how much I hate mayo!
Having said that, no you don’t have to use the mayo, but I promise you this recipe DOES NOT TASTE like it is made with mayo.
Can I add more honey? Sugar, please you can always adjust our recipes to be as sweet as you like. Have fun with this homemade honey mustard dipping sauce. Add more honey, add less honey. You do you, boo!
Can I use this as a dressing? Yes, absolutely. Though we are working on a homemade honey mustard dressing recipe too. (Stay tuned) If you are looking for suggestions, this would be amazeballs on this homemade chef salad recipe.
How long is this good for? Normally, you can store this in your fridge for up to a week or two. You could probably do it longer than that if you are using shelf stable ingredients. Just make sure to keep it stored in the fridge and don’t let anyone double dip!
