One of the best things about spring, is of course the spring makeover. It’s time to pull out those flip flops, refresh your hair color, and give yourself a new look. I told you guys about using Madison Reed hair color over the winter, and for spring I wanted to do something a little bolder.
Strangely I’ve been craving to add some bright colored highlights in my hair, but didn’t want to damage my hair. Naturally a super dark brown, I have to bleach my hair and then dye it again to get those bold crazy colors. Not going to do that this time. What I did instead was consult with my Madison Reed color consultant, told them what I wanted to do, and they hooked me up with Torino brown. It’s a really awesome dark brown shade, but it doesn’t wash me out like black does. Clip in some purple extensions, and I have an awesome new look for spring. This is what I looked like before.
It’s so easy to use that even Mr. Crunchy can help me do it. Though he thought it was hilarious to put this curlie cue on the top of my head.
And this is what I looked like afterward. (Added some pretty smoking new glasses too)
I’m always changing my hair color, but after a while you have to give your hair a break because it dries out too much. That’s not the case with Madison Reed. You can put your favorite color on auto order, and every four weeks touch up your color.
Don’t just take my word for it. See what other happy Madison Reed customers are saying. They are even getting tons of positive press in style sites like Refinery29 and Style.com!
Now for the exciting part for you guys. One lucky Crunchy Frugalista reader is going to win their very own Madison Reed hair color kit, in a color of your choice. That also includes a full sized shampoo and conditioner (that stuff is AMAZING!) All you have to do to win is to enter in the entry form below! Good luck

I’m 44 years old and I’ve done all different shades, brown, red, blonde (and pink and purple peek a boos) Right now, I’m a blondie, so I would choose PISA BLONDE – 9NA.
