Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe to Liven Up Your Morning
This strawberry banana smoothie recipe is in partnership with Tervis, but all quirkyness and briliant ideas are my own.
I have a confession to make. On this blog it seems that I spend a lot of time making confessions. That’s what I do; air all my “dirty little secrets” out there for the world to see. Yup, I’m an open book. (TANGENT ALERT) Back on track, what’s my confession? I am not a breakfast person. Ok, let me correct that. I’m either a full on breakfast spread with pancakes and bacon and coffee with fancy little creamers, or I’m a “coffee counts as breakfast” kinda gal. That’s how I am with most of the things in my life, all or nothing.
Since my fibromyalgia diagnosis, I’ve really been working hard on my health and that means coming up with ways that I will actually eat breakfast on a regular basis. That’s where this strawberry banana smoothie recipe comes in to save the day. While I’m still trying to work on the chaos in the morning, I figured I would come up with a quick and easy breakfast smoothie recipe that you can literally throw in the blender and 30 seconds later breakfast is served! Plus, as a super special treat to you I’ve even found some kick butt cups that will keep your strawberry and banana smoothie cold on your way into work/school/play.
Technically, this recipe isn’t just a strawberry banana smoothie recipe. It’s actually a super sneaky way to sneak in some greens into your diet as well. Shhhh, it’s our little secret!! There’s no need to let the family know. Trust me, they won’t taste it, but by adding a little kale (or spinach) to this strawberry and banana smoothie recipe, you can make breakfast super healthy and quick. Personally, it’s taken me a while to learn to eat more vegetables, and there are still some greens that I just can’t stomach to eat by themselves. Smoothies are my number one trick to get some extra vegetable in my meals. Hide veggies in a strawberry banana smoothie recipes, and you get the greens with out the green face!
