All the holiday fun is on behalf of Netflix and the awesome #streamteam
Ho! Ho! Ho! Happy Holidays! Blessed Yule! Happy Hannukah! Merry Christmas, and all that jazz. It’s the time to snuggle up with your loved ones, watch some snow (if you are blessed with the white powdery stuff) Of course that means it’s time to snuggle up and stream holiday movies on Netflix.
The kick butt thing about Netflix is they have tons of movies that you can stream all month long to get you into the holiday season. You can check out my all time favorite Christmas movies on Netflix on this post here! Plus, we have a whole calendar of holiday movies on Netflix for you to check out.
I don’t know about you, but I am a sucker for grabbing a warm comfy beverage (this mulled wine recipe is perfect for that) and snuggling up under my favorite blanket and watching Netflix movies. I would say I like to Netflix and Chill, but if I wanted to do that I would just watch my Netflix out on my back porch where there is about six inches of snow right now. Maybe Netflix and snuggle or Netflix and hibernate is more my style?
Whatever your style is, the holiday time is the best time to chill with some series Netflix. There was a few days this month where I accidentally let my Netflix membership lapse, and I thought there was going to be a revolt in my house. The teens were seriously all pitch forky and demon eyed because they were getting errors when trying to log into Netflix. There was definitely not any holiday spirit in their heads. It’s one of the few moments when I thought I may not make it out of being a mother to teenagers.
For me, it never quite feels like the holidays until there is snow on the ground, which makes it easy for us because we live in Minnesota. This year has been kinda a weird year and we don’t have much snow on the ground yet, but we are waiting for our first big huge dumping of the glittery, white stuff. Which means, my glass of mulled red wine is on stand by, my firewood is on order, and my spot on the couch is already for my butt to be parked.
Lots of people think we are weird because we kept moving further and further north to get to a place that actually has snow. If that wasn’t weird enough, I’ve been whining that we don’t have any snow yet this year, and it’s the holidays damn it. Bring on the white stuff! (Though I may be regretting that proclamation in the morning)
The holidays in Minnesota is all about hibernating, spending time with your loved ones, and trying to remember what sunshine looks like. That’s ok though it’s also a great time excuse to do “work”. By work I mean, binge watch holidays movies, by binge watch I mean not leave the sofa for a few days other than to eat or go to the bathroom. (Don’t judge me, you know you do it too)
So it’s almost December, and the white stuff is on the way, Netflix is back working again (and a teenage revolt thwarted), and I”m ready for this holiday binge watching session to begin. To make it easy for guys I downloaded a handy dandy calendar of ideas of holiday movies on Netflix to help you get your Christmas movie fix this year.
