Eating dinner as a family was always one of my favorite things to do growing up. It was a great way to catch up with everyone’s week, and it brought us closer together as a family. When I lived in Savannah, my extended family would try to get together at least once a month for Sunday dinners. It was so much fun laughing and enjoying each other’s company over some amazing food.
Now that I am more than 1,000 miles away from my family, it’s up to me to continue the tradition with my kids. We don’t have family up here in Minnesota, but we are slowly and surely making friends that are the next best thing to family. That’s why once we have space, I am going to continue the traditions I grew up with. A lot of times people like to blame technology for humanity losing touch, but honestly it’s more because of dying traditions like the family Sunday dinner. That’s why this chica is bringing dinner back. Plus, once you see these recipes, it’s gonna be hard NOT to want to bust out the nice china every Sunday (in our household, that means we use REAL plates not plastic!)
This collection has desserts, sides, breads, entree, and of course a drink or two. It’s a great collection that will wow your friends and family as well as your taste buds. If you want to take the work out of figuring what to make for Sunday dinner, the make sure to book mark this recipe collection. You can thank me in the form of wine, tips, and gratiitous praise.
