I did receive an all expenses paid trip to fan girl over Inside Out, but all that is my own.
If you saw Inside Out in the theater, then you have been biting at the bit to get your hands on the DVD when it comes out! Well, for those naughty guys and gals that didn’t see Inside Out in the theaters, you should be biting at the bit too because this movie is epically awesome. (You guys know I don’t say that often about kids’ movies, but Pixar rocks!)
Inside Out is the story of Riley, an 11 year old girl, and her emotions. We get a rare chance to jump into the head of Riley and see what all of her emotions are going through as she starts adapting to a recent move to San Francisco. It’s a great movie that both kids and parents can relate to. Personally, I loved it because the characters were so relatable and FUNNY. It reminded me what it was like to be a kid again, and as a parent it made me appreciate the emotions going on in myself as well. My youngest daughter, Bayla, and I had a chance to see it in the theater and we were buying laughing hysterically the whole time. It’s by far one of our favorite movies. We are going to snag our digital copy on the 13th (and for the non-digital folks the Inside Out DVD/Blu-Ray is going to be released on November 3rd!)
In celebration of the early digital release of Inside Out on October 13th (psst, that’s tomorrow!) you get to see a super top secret Inside Out feature called Joy’s Decline. It features Inside Out Pete Docter! Check it out! If you are super duper excited, you can go ahead and (affiliate link) pre-order your Inside Out digital copy here
When we went to San Francisco a few weeks ago, we had a chance to interview Pete Docter along with other cast and crew from Inside Out! We even had an amazing tour of Pixar Studio and had a chance to see some awesome Inside Out art work and storyboards as well as learn about the newest Pixar film coming to theaters on Thanksgiving Day, The Good Dinosaur. Make sure to come back and check out all those good posts coming up in October, November, and December on the blog!
