Thanksgiving doesn’t always have to be about the turkey. Sometimes the Thanksgiving side dishes can be so amazing they are the stars of the main event.
This Turkey day live dangerously and try something new. You always want to have the good staples like homemade stuffing, but for the rest of your dishes try some that think out of the box just a little bit.
One of the things that I love about fall is the warm, earthy flavors that you will find on your table. You have the great flavors of pumpkin, sweet potatoes, or even rutabaga (an often misguided veggie). Since I’ve been cooking more and more, I’ve really loved learning how you can explore the tastes of the season and make some truly amazing dishes. Great flavor doesn’t have to be complicated either. It can be just as simple as adding some well picked herbs and spices.
To do the dirty work for you guys, I have curated some of my favorite Thanksgiving side dishes. Some of them are your favorite traditional dishes (like sweet potato casserole) while others offer some new twists on classic dishes. Either way, I can guarantee that your mouth will be watering by the end of the dishes. Check them out!

These all look so yummy! I always say that as much as I love the turkey, I love all the side dishes at Thanksgiving just a bit more, especially the stuffing. Yours looks delicious!
