Spring time is one of my favorite times of the year, not just because the snow is gone in Minnesota, but because I get to hang out with the Macy’s Culinary Council. Last year, I got to head down to Downtown Minneapolis and meet Macy’s Culinary Council Chef Michelle Bernstein. You can check out my post from last year here.
What is Macy’s Culinary Council? It’s a group of amazing chefs that are passionate about helping people love eating, creating, and cooking amazing food at home! Consider yourselves little chefs in training. They travel all around the country to Macy’s stores to do some really great cooking demonstrations to add a little more pizzazz to your at home cooking! It’s a really great way to get creative ideas on how to change up your meal plan at home, and it’s really neat to be able to meet the chefs in person. Last year with Michelle Bernstein was such a blast!
This year, I am headed back to the downtown Minneapolis Macy’s to meet with another great Macy’s Culinary Council Chef Tom Douglas. Tom is a James Beard Award winner, author, and executive chef. He’s even made appearances on the Food Network show Iron Chef America in 2005.
The Macy’s Flower show is in full swing at the Downtown Minneapolis Macy’s right now, and you can RSVP to meet Tom Douglas in the Lower Level Culinary Kitchen. Enjoy an awesome cooking demonstration by the award winning chef, and with any purchase of $35 or more in the home department you receive a $10 Macy’s Gift card and a copy of Chef Douglas’ cookbook, The Dahlia Bakery which you can even get signed! It’s such a fun time, and the cookbooks and cooking demo are always so amazing. Here’s how to RSVP and the details:

This would be pretty cool to see him in a demonstration. I believe I have seen him on tv before
