Saving Money, Vacation Pigs, and Walmart Savings Catcher

  This year has been crazy hard on the sanity and the budget. After three deaths, a hospital stay, and an unexpected move my wallet is hurting, and so is my determination to work each day. That’s why it was time to head to Walmart to redecorate my office, and use Walmart Savings Catcher to save me some dough I can also feed Penny the vacation pig. Isn’t she cute? Penny is where I put all of my hard earned money that I save. One day she’s going to take me to Italy. We’re both so excited. One thing about being self employed is that even on days when you really don’t feel like working, you need to find the gumption to do it anyway. Before starting to work for myself, I never realized how many hours and hours I would put into my business. (You could say mama works VERY HARD for her money) That’s why my office needs to be a place that inspires creativity, relaxes me, and also doesn’t break the bank. Walmart has some great home décor items and I wanted to try out the new Savings Catcher program.  My time is really valuable, and with the new program I can save time and money by not having to run store to store to get the best price. This handy dandy money saver helps compare local prices for me, and if they find a lower price at another store on something I’ve bought they will mail me a Walmart gift card for the difference. It’s perfect for national brands and seasonal stuff like back to school (grab your wallets moms, big savings coming your way) Because our move was so expensive, I didn’t have a big budget to redecorate the office space. So I grabbed this super cute poster and poster holder that reminds me to “be awesome” and follow my gut. Then I put some pictures of all the cool people I’ve had a chance to meet/interview to remind myself just how all of my hard work has paid off. (Jimmy Kimmel anyone?) Now that I am motivated, I wanted a little treat to reward myself, and you guys know how this gal loves her chocolate. I got a huge bag of Mars chocolates for my desk. You better watch out though it’s protected by my resident Ewok Wicket. (Just don’t tell my kids he doesn’t move) Mama finishes something off her to do list, and she gets herself some chocolate. Sounds good right? Lastly, I wanted to my office to smell amazing. So for some added zen I got some Febreeze air freshner melts and a new wax melter. When I am spending hours and hours plugging away on social  media and writing blog posts I can breath in the gentle breezes of apple, pear, and freesia. Plus, once I submit my receipt if Walmart Savings Catcher finds these scented melts on sale at another store for a lower price I have a gift card coming in the mail to me! Now that my office is all set up, and I am working like a mad woman again all I have to do is wait for my Walmart gift card to hop it’s way to me in the mail. I love the fact that I don’t have to spend my time looking at sales ads.
