Now that we have two cars, our family is on the go a lot more. Sometimes getting the kids out of bed is a feat in and of itself, let alone trying to feed them before our day’s adventure. What’s a better way to grab breakfast and go than with homemade granola bars made with Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy.
Being a homeschooling family, we try to take a lot of field trips, but that has been hard lately with one vehicle. We’ve taken some great trips to the library, riding the Light Rail (our central transit system), or headed to the Science Museum. Now that we have a second vehicle we are going to try to get together with some local homeschool groups, and even exploring the great outdoors snowshoeing or something.
Honey Bunches of Oats has a new type of cereal that brings the energy. We were able to try the Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Cinnamon Crunch and Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Chocolatey Almond Crunch. Our family by far loved the Chocolatey Crunch the best, because it’s chocolate for breakfast! Enough said!
This was my first time making granola bars, and it must’ve been ok because the pan is already half gone. (That or my kids are just vulture and will eat anything, but let’s stick with the “they’re really good” theory) These great bars are perfect because Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy keeps my kids satisfied all morning unlike other cereals where they are ravenous an hour later!
