Pizza Chicken recipe is cheesy, delicious and PERFECT for an easy chicken dinner! Plus, this is an easy one pot recipe so that means less time doing dishes, and more time to drink wine!
The other day, I was half butt listening to a cooking show and they talked about chicken pepperoni.
I’ve never even heard about this dish before (ironically not one for cooking shows) but it got me thinking. Chicken and pepperoni, now that could be an interesting compilation.
Why We Love Pizza Chicken!
That’s why I’ve tried to make this one dish a new favorite of the family. They always whine that we always eat the same things over and over again: tuna noodle casserole, baked ziti, and homemade tacos.
Well to shut the family up please the family, I set off to find a new classic favorite for the family.
This pizza chicken one pot recipe cheesy and a little spicy, thanks to pepperoni, and did I mention it was CHEESY. I mean look at all that yummy, stringy, drippy cheese. (Everything is better with cheese right?)
This dish is so crazy easy that your kids can make it. Trust me folks getting the kids in the kitchen young is amazing. Get them passionate about cooking, and they will help you cook all week long.
We’ve gotten our kids in the kitchen since they were toddlers, and now they have fun making their own dishes for dinner one night a week. Bayla, the youngest, helped me make this fun dish.
They love chopping up garlic and other produce, though she swears she’s going to invent something to make onions not make you cry when you chop up onions. (Go ahead and conquer the world, kid!)
For this wonderously cheesy and awesome one pot recipe, you can use any oven safe pan. I love using my purple dutch oven. It makes it easier to go from the stove to the oven. It’s super magical because. There’s just something cool about purple dishes!
This meal is great because you can make it ahead, and then just pop it in the oven when you are ready to eat! Or you can make it, and then chow down. We made it earlier in the day, and then put it in the fridge for dinner later that night.
Just pop it in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and you are all set to go!
Enough of the drooling, here’s what you need to make this one pot cheesy chicken pepperoni.

Chicken Pepperoni Recipe Cooking Tips and Questions

Can I use cheddar cheese? Sure can! We love switching up the cheese we use on our one pot chicken pepperoni recipe. Sometimes we get wild and crazy and use two or more cheeses at once!
Can I use chicken thighs? Any chicken will work with this recipe. It doesn’t even have to be boneless. Just make sure your guests know that there are bones in there. Don’t wanna be known as the cooking killer!

I would use them for mason jar salads. I also would use them for storing leftover pancake batter.
