Your eyes aren’t getting more attention because they are awesome. They are getting more attention because all you can wonder is “when did I walk through a sandstorm?” because there are so friction going on in your eyeball action.
When I’ve put too much strain on my eyes, I can tell. It starts out as this dull ache at my temples, then it literally feels like I can HEAR myself blink. My eyes cry out for moisture with each and every close of my lashes.
Once I’ve reached that point, it’s all downhill. My eyelids will even start to spasm a little bit. That’s an attractive sight! Blood-shot eyes with a side of lid twitching. Yup, I’m a beauty queen right there.

Pamper Your Eyes: According to Optometrist Dr. Susan Resnick, put a warm compress on your eyelids for a few minutes twice a day. This can help improve the quality of your tears by releasing oil in your eyelids’ glands.
Taking five minutes a day to put warm compresses on your eyes would also be a great time to meditate or listen to some awesome audiobooks. Plus, it gives you to time to learn how to relieve stress when you have ZERO time.
Get Enough Sleep: One of my favorite self care ideas for dry eyes is to tell you to get enough sleep! (You know how much this gal loves sleep) Not getting enough shut-eye can easily cause dry, irritated eyes.
Overuse and not enough sleep are some killer reasons why your eyeballs will cry out for mercy. Sleep is not for the weak. It’s for people that realize they are awesome enough to need to recharge! It takes lots of power to be as awesome as you are!
