What Is in Moscato Punch with Pineapple Juice?
What makes moscato more awesome? Making it into a homemade moscato punch recipe, hello!
Punch just means it’s fruity, kind of like me when I don’t get enough sleep. It’s silly and happy and sometimes does a little crazy dance.
A little smarty pants history for you. Did you know the word punch actually stems from Hindi meaning “five”? Traditional punch consists of five ingredients: alcohol, sugar, lemon, tea and/or spices (Thanks Wikipedia)
In my Southern upbringing, punch means anything that you add pineapple juice to. Sometimes if you are making a fancy punch recipe you put sherbert in it.
When you are talking about MOSCATO fancy pants punch, you have TWO main ingredients.
- Fruit Juice
- Pineapple Juice
- Orange Juice
- Cranberry Juice
- Strawberry Juice
- Sherbert (for those that like to make it classy)

How to Make Moscato Punch: Commonly Asked Questions
Do I have to use pineapple juice? Absolutely not! Pineapple juice is just our favorite way to feel all tropical. If there is another juice you prefer strawberry juice, apple juice, or even cranberry juice would work!
What if I can’t find rasberry sorbert? No sweat, your punch will still be awesome. Orange sorbert (or sherbert), rainbow sherbert, or even lime sherbert would be just as awesome.
Can I use other wines? Moscato works the best in this moscato cocktail recipe, but any sweet white wine or dessert wine should work. Just be careful if you use a dessert wine that you don’t make it too sweet.
Is this dairy or gluten free? Good news, it is definitely a gluten free cocktail. Most wine is gluten free! If you are watching dairy, you need to make sure to get pure sorbet. This is made from fruit puree and sugar. Sherbert contains dairy. As always make sure to check ingredient labels when making your purchases.
