Martinis are such a fun drink that you can really get creative with. If you have a sweet tooth like I do, you are going to love the dessert martinis that I came up with! Last weekend, I invited a few friends over for a martini party, and this rainbow sherbet martini was by far one of the favorite martini recipes that I served that night. Plus, it’s one of many easy martini recipes.
When I was a kid, we would go to church, or a friend’s baby shower, and they would serve this killer punch that would have sweet dabs of rainbow sherbet in them. That’s where I got the inspiration for this this drink recipe. Granted this recipe is a little more grown up since it features Vodka and Grand Marnier, but it’s still got that sweet splendidness of that punch.
It’s also a fun recipe you can play around with, as are most of my recipes. Next time, I think I will add some pineapple juice to change it up a bit! You can add different fruit juices to change up the taste a little bit. The lemon, lime, and orange flavors in the sherbet can play off just about any juice you can think of. Raspberry Grand Marnier might be a fun twist as well.
Just a tip. The best way to enjoy this martini recipe is to shake it over ice, serve it in a chilled glass, and let the sherbet melt a bit. That makes it ohh so good, and nice and smooth. You won’t even notice it’s a martini, which is why dessert martinis are the best!
